It Begins....

On Thursday, July 30, 2010, the Chicago Bears headed down to begin training at a facility in Bourbonnais, IL. The first few days, different aspects of the team seemed to look pretty good. But, unfortunately for some Bears, injuries is a factor. Chris Harris, went down with minor back pain which kept him out, but you can't really let that sum up the camp so far although it seems to so familiar. Desmond Clark has shined pretty bright early on, and he's fighting as the 3rd TE on the roster. Brandon Manumaleuna, who is probably the most comfortable person in this new system, sees a lot of bright spots with the younger guys picking it up so fast. They also brought in Isaac Bruce, former St. Louis Ram in the Mike Martz system, to help out with the receiving core. There is still some question with Frank Omiyale on the offensive line, but now that he has moved back to his natural position, Tackle, he should be much improved. Defensively the Bears want to be able to put more points on the board. Under coach Lovie Smith, the Chicago Bears have 200 takeaways, and hold a record of 10-0, so maybe this is a good idea. Ok, so it's only been a couple of days since camp started, but so far things seem to be coming along nicely.
