Is This A Cry For Rebuild?

OK Cubs fans, is it time to let go of any inspiration of getting better this season go, yeah, I think it's done. Although this particular move wasn't big on behalf of the organization. This is just the realization of this team not being able to bring themselves out of a whole this size. Yes Ted Lilly was a key piece to the pitching staff, although if yo look at his numbers this year, it doesn't seem like that pitcher we all know. Without run support, Lilly can only do but so much, so it was smart to trade him now while his stock was up. As for Ryan Theriot, I am a tad bit surprised that after the season he's had, the Cubs were able to move him. The the whole Carlos Zambrano story was just something to put the icing on the cake. It is time for this team to be dismantled, and starting fresh with a nucleus of upcoming stars is the way to go. This team has been together for some time now, and they haven't been able to figure it out. With all these young kids coming up and playing great baseball, it's only right to build around them. Starlin Castro has been very good this season, along with Tyler Colvin who seems to be about business and business only. Derek Lee has put up his no trade clause and will be in the Chi at least until the end of the season. This has been a pretty unproductive year for the Cubbies to say the least, but I believe they are headed in the right direction, forward....
