Phil Jackson: The Best Ever?
It's almost a unanimous vote when you ask who the best coach is, to coach in the NBA, most of the answers you get should be Phil Jackson. Jackson has won over 1,000 regular season games and taken all of his teams to the post season, that is 19 seasons of coaching in the NBA. Yes, he has always had a superstar on his team in Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, but you can't take away from what he has done as the head coach of those teams. It's all about getting into the heads of his players, which is one of Jackson's main techniques, and it seems to work pretty well. As a head coach, to have a record of 47-0 in the playoffs after winning game one of a series is almost unheard of. The numbers don't lie!! Not only that, but the man runs one of the most complex offenses in the league, with mixing in some Eastern Philosophy, and Native American spiritual practices. How often do you see Phil yelling and jumping up and down off the bench to scream at his players or officials, why, because it's unnecessary for him to have to do those things. He is able to coach his team from a deficit without having to call a timeout, and he smiles when a bad call has been made by the officials. Ten championships speaks for itself, so if you weren't a fan of Phil Jackson before, then you should be now. By the way, this series will be done in 7....
