LBJ In The Shadow Of MJ?

Will he stay or will he go, and if he goes will it be to the Windy City? A lot of talk about Lebron James has been stirring up after the game 6 loss to the Celtics on Thursday night. Most of the talk is about Lebron coming to Chicago or New York. Chicago out of all scenarios is the best simply because this team is the closest to being championship ready out of all teams that he can possibly go to. The main issue that people are bringing up is the fact the Lebron might not want to play in the shadow of Michael Jordan. The bottom line is that every time Lebron, Kobe, or D. Wade step on the court, they will always be compared to the greatest to ever play the game, and if you ask me, that is not necessarily a bad thing. To be compared to Mike means that you are doing something right. Not only that, but look at the players he would have to play with, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and Taj Gibson. That nucleus is young, smart, and experienced, and I believe ready for the next level, but they are just missing a couple of pieces. New York, the city of bright lights on the other hand has just that to offer him, no team is assembled partially for him to get a championship with. If I was looking to make a run at the NBA Finals, then the team to go with would have to be the Bulls. Will LBJ see it the same way?.....

  1. I don't know how LBJ(will no longer condone the title "King James") is going to see it. I hope he takes heed to KG's words and realizes that loyalty isn't always worth it. It's been 7 years and no success in the postseason, they got to the finals once and have regressed every year since. They are now being known as the "Regular Season Champs" and that is not a title anyone wants let alone someone as talented as LBJ. If he is going to leave and i believe he will, go where there is legitimate help, not the type of useless help you had in Cleveland but real help. Chicago is the ideal place in my mind for him, if not Chicago only Miami is the other choice in my mind. But when it comes down to it the Bulls offer the best situation, you get a top 10 point guard(not Mo Williams) in Derek Rose and a top 10(yes i really mean this) big man in Joakim Noah and the flexibility to trade Deng or Hinrich for another good piece. In Miami it's just D.Wade which by no means is a bad thing, but do you really want to play with someone who we might all view as "Top Dog" on the same team? Or would you rather be "The Man" on a very talented team that is driven by you. I know that LeBron needs help, hopefully he realizes it as well.

  2. I agree with you 100% and the only problem that he would have in Miami is the fact that he is not "the man" he will be second, let's just face fact. That is D Wade's team, and if push comes to shove, Wade will have the ball in his hands at the final second. In the "Chi" he will be the number one option the D. Rose will be number two, that still sounds tasty if you ask me, maybe i'm saying that because i am a bulls fan, but the fact remains, if he really wants that ring as bad as he says, then let the wind blow him to the the city that can handle it!!!
